Manchester United picked up a vital away victory against Watford on Tuesday evening, and next up is a tricky trip to London to take on Arsenal.
Ahead of that match against Arsene Wenger’s team, Jose Mourinho has some major injury issues if a report from ESPN is to be believed.
For anyone who watched the match against Watford, Nemanja Matic limped off the pitch in the second half and he didn’t look to be moving well at all. He’s been the key to our midfield, and as soon as he left the turf, we struggled keeping hold of the ball.
On top of that, Marouane Fellaini is missing with an ongoing injury, as is Michael Carrick. These midfield problems must be worrying for the manager, and that’s not the only area hit by problems.
Fair enough, Victor Lindelof and Chris Smalling are playing well at the moment, but we’re still missing Phil Jones and Eric Bailly; a pairing that started the season in stunning form.
Of course, we’ll be hoping to get at least one or two of these guys back at the weekend, but as of right now, we’re unsure as to how bad their problems are, and it couldn’t have been timed any worse as the hectic winter period is right around the corner.
