Man United have now held initial discussions with PSG, with the French side keen on signing Jadon Sancho.
After Erik ten Hag and Jadon Sancho decided to bury the hatchet, we all just assumed that the Englishman would become a focal part of the Manchester United squad for the upcoming season.
Well, that may not be the case. The Old Trafford side are still in a situation where they have to sell players before they can buy. Hence, Sancho’s head could still be on the chopping block.
The former Borussia Dortmund man has led the line in the ‘false 9’ position during pre-season tour. He’s done a decent job at that role, though when everyone is fit, I’m still not sure he’s going to be offered the number of starts he’d want.
Now, Sky Sports News’ Dharmesh Sheth has provided an update on that front. He claims that United have now held ‘initial talks’ with PSG over the big-name player sale. Discussions over the conditions of a potential deal are now taking place.
What’s interesting is that Sancho himself would be ‘open’ to the move, while personal terms are not expected to be an issue.

This feels like a transfer that could be fast-moving. PSG are looking to add some extra firepower into the final third after losing Kylian Mbappe, while Sancho himself wouldn’t turn his nose up at the possibility of guaranteed trophies.
It all comes down to the transfer fee. United have made it clear that they’re no longer willing to allow other clubs to walk all over them. I do hope they stand firm and demand at least £40m+ for the English winger.
This would offer Ten Hag some extra wiggle room in the transfer market, possibly meaning a double deal to sign both Noussair Mazraoui and Matthijs de Ligt would be a real possibility.

If PSG are standing firm over their valuation of Ugarte, being the 60, million Euro’s that he cost them a year ago, maybe United should stand firm and demand the 85, million Euro fee that they paid for Sancho?
Better still the 95, million Euro fee they paid Ajax for Antony
