Man United identify top transfer target, ready to overpay: report

Perhaps since Cristiano Ronaldo left Manchester United, the club have been bereft of a top quality right-winger.

Well, it’s better late than not at all and it looks as though the Red Devils are finally about to try and tackle that problem. That’s according to a report from The Independent, who claim that United have identified Jadon Sancho as their top transfer target for the upcoming summer window.

Apparently, it would cost £100million before add-ons to tempt Borussia Dortmund into selling Sancho, but The Independent are also claiming that United are ready to pay over the odds to sign the superstar 18-year-old.

It’s his scintillating form this season that has convinced United he’ll be worth a club record fee to acquire, with the Red Devils understandably keen to partner him up with his England teammate, Marcus Rashford.

Sancho would be a stunning addition. He’s a player who excites, who gets bums on seats through his skills, trickery and overall ability. Dare I say it, but we haven’t seen his like since the aforementioned Ronaldo.

There’s a reason he’s so expensive. This lad can become one of the best in the business and right now, he’s only going to get better. It’s good to see United go for youth rather than another marquee player like an Alexis Sanchez, although I fully expect this transfer saga to drag out for the whole summer.
