A reliable Man United insider has offered an injury update on Leny Yoro.
Manchester United made a huge splash by signing Leny Yoro from Lille this summer, snatching the defender from the clutches of Real Madrid.
It felt like the Red Devils never really had a chance at signing Yoro, though to Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s credit, he kept United in the race and pushed hard to sign the teenager.
Yoro looked superb on debut against Rangers. He was looking equally strong against Arsenal – before he went down with injury.
United were expected to provide an update on the fitness of Yoro this week, though that has not come. However, a reliable United insider with an excellent track record has provided an update. Although the information he has received is ‘vague’, be believes a tentative 3-6 week timeline has been placed on the defender’s return.

After seeing Yoro on crutches and in a protective boot, I feared the worst. If this information is close to accurate, I’d suggest it is better than initially feared.
Yes, it means his pre-season is over, while Yoro will not play at all in August. However, it does mean we will see the Frenchman at some time in September, which honestly isn’t too far away.
This is why you have a squad. The likes of Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof are more than capable options who can fill in and play at a high level on any given matchday.
Hopefully, Yoro is now resting up and focusing on his return.
