Man United are interested in a summer move to bring in Harry Kane.

Manchester United Football Club are certainly moving in the right direction under Erik ten Hag, though the Dutchman needs time.

As things stand, he’s working with one hand tied behind his back due to the lack of funds available as the Glazer family look for new investors in United.

He’s had to settle for loan moves in the mid-season transfer window, though the funds available will have to be upped significantly when the summer rolls around. A new central striker has to be the number one priority, with Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure leading to a gaping hole within the squad.

According to the Daily Mail, United want Harry Kane to fill that void.

Their report claims that United are interested in making a ‘mega summer swoop’ to sign the 29-year-old Tottenham Hotspur man.

Sportsmail sources believe that United chiefs have ‘already starting exploring particulars’ of a potential deal for Kane, with the player apparently ‘open’ to a switch to the Reds.

With just eighteen months left on his current contract, both Kane and his current club, Tottenham Hotspur, have some real decisions to make in regards to his future.

In terms of price-tag, Spurs want at least £85m to let their talisman leave, though that fee is likely to rise for a fellow Premier League side. Bayern Munich and Real Madrid have both also been credited with serious interest in Kane.

Kane himself would prefer to stay in the Premier League, setting his sights on breaking that Alan Shearer goalscoring record before he hangs up his boots.

There’s no doubt that this is a move that would have the rest of the Premier League taking notice. It’d show that United really do mean business, while they’d be getting that 20+ goal-a-season striker they need.
