Man United interested in AS Monaco striker Wissam Ben Yedder: report

Credit where it’s due, Odion Ighalo has been a brilliant addition for this Red Devils squad. However, is he the long-term solution? Probably not…

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has shown an early tendency to priorities the signing of young players – which does make sense. However, the odd bit of experience here and there is never a bad thing.

After losing Romelu Lukaku last summer, and it looking pretty likely that Ighalo isn’t going to remain, other targets must be identified; enter Wissam Ben Yedder.

The story came from L’Equipe on April 26th, who claim that United are interested in signing the 19-goal striker who has played excellently for the Principality club this season.

What I like about Ben Yedder is the fact that he’s two-footed and experienced. This is a guy who knows what it takes to play at the highest level, while his versatility will be a massive plus for Solskjaer.

I can’t imagine he’d be too expensive due to his age, while Ben Yedder is a player who can drop in and out of the line-up on a game-by-game basis. Right now, this is exactly what United need…
