Man United are keen on signing Juventus winger, Dejan Kulusevski.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer still has some glaring holes to fill within the playing squad. Centre-back, defensive-midfield, striker and right-winger.
Manchester United still feel a few top-quality additions away from a genuine title challenge, while you can argue the biggest need is finding a week-in-week-out threat from off that right-hand side.
Today, a new name has been thrown into the mix and it comes via Calciomercato journalist, Daniele Longo. He took to Twitter to share the news with his followers.
According to Longo, United are ‘interested’ in signing the versatile 20-year-old, Dejan Kulusevski from Juventus.
Longo states that at this point in time, the Old Lady doesn’t want to sell the star who has five goals in all competitions this season.
Check out Daniele Longo’s tweet about United interest in Kulusevski here:
Kulusevski’s stock is continuing to rise, with the youngster already amassing eleven appearances for his native Sweden, too.
So why the United interest?
Predominantly a right-winger, Kulusevski can also play in the attacking midfield slot, giving Solskjaer another option in two key positions.
The young attacker fits the player profile that Solskjaer has shown an obvious preference towards – young, still learning and improving. Although no transfer fee is mentioned, you’d imagine Kulusevski would be pretty costly given the fact that Juventus want to keep him.
Again, this is a case of United showing an interest in talent rather than the ready-made player. The Red Devils have been good at this sort of deal in the past, so who am I to doubt them on this one…?
