Man United have earmarked Marko Arnautovic, who the Reds want to sign to add some depth to the squad.

Benjamin Sesko has often been linked, though a surprise name has been thrown into the mix over the last 24 hours; Marko Arnautovic.
It’s the usually reliable Athletic with the claim, who state that United are ‘interested’ in bringing the attacker back to the Premier League.
The now 33-year-old Arnautovic, who spent time in England with both Stoke City and West Ham United, has 76 Premier League goal contributions (43 goals, 33 assists).
Again, Ten Hag is trying to surround himself with familiarity, previously working with Arnautovic at FC Twente back in the Netherlands. Steve McClaren has also worked with the Austrian before.
Arnautovic is viewed as someone who could supply cover to the aforementioned Ronaldo and Anthony Martial, while during his career, the attacker has also been used out wide on several occasions.
This isn’t someone who will start every week for United and lead us to the promised land. Rather, Arnautovic is being eyed purely to bring some squad depth to United, who are looking incredibly thin in the final third.
I don’t want to say this is an underwhelming signing, but I guess this just shows us how far United have fallen over the last half-decade or so. They can no longer shop at the top table, hence, they’re being linked with those second and third-tier footballers at this stage in the transfer window…
