Manchester United is embroiled in a three-way fight to sign Napoli star Jorginho, according to The Sun.
The Italian has been in incredible form this term, as his side battle it out with Juventus in an effort to win the Serie A title.
Now 26, Jorginho has a deal that’ll expire in 2020, and the report says that he’ll cost around £60million should a club choose to pursue the midfielder over the summer.
It comes as no secret that the Red Devils are trying to bring in at least one new central player. Michael Carrick is retiring, and there is still no news regarding a new contract for Marouane Fellaini.
Paul Pogba needs help. The Frenchman requires freedom when moving forward in order to fully flourish, and more often than not he’s been held back as the quality around him hasn’t been sufficient.
Jorginho would be a stunning addition, heck the fact that both City and Arsenal are also pursuing him tells you everything you need to know about his qualities, and in the modern-day game, £60million genuinely doesn’t sound all that expensive for a player approaching his peak.
