Man United are weighing up a move for Arnaut Danjuma this summer.

Erik ten Hag will have plans to take this Manchester United side in a different direction.

The Old Trafford club will have to spend big due to the mass exodus that’s about to ensue. Hence why it feels pretty much every name under the sun is being linked with a United switch.

A name that we covered a story about pretty recently is Villareal winger, Arnaut Danjuma.

Today, Danjuma is back in the headlines again. This time it’s the Manchester Evening News with the claim.

It’s now being claimed that United are ‘keeping tabs’ on the 25-year-old ahead of the summer transfer window. However, as things stand, a move for Danjuma under Ten Hag remains ‘unlikely’.

The author of the piece, Rich Fay, states that United remain ‘fond admirers’ of Danjuma, who would be available for £38million due to a release clause in his current contract.

Danjuma has enjoyed a brilliant debut season over in Spain, scoring sixteen goals and tacking on four assists. Now, he could be on the move again this time around.

It’s actually understood United looked at possibly moving for Danjuma last summer when he was leaving Bournemouth, though instead chose to spend big on Jadon Sancho instead. In my mind, that was absolutely the correct decision.

I like Danjuma as a player. I think he’d add an awful lot to this squad. However, United are pretty well-stocked in that left-wing position already. Outside of goalkeeper, it’s probably where United are pretty strong in terms of sheer quality.

Personally, there should be other priorities for United this summer. That’s not to take away from Danjuma as a talent, but there are just so many holes to fill within this current squad.
