Man United keeping tabs on Atletico Madrid winger, Yannick Carrasco

Man United are keeping their eyes on Atletico Madrid winger, Yannick Carrasco.

Manchester United Football Club are doing pretty well of late. We owe Erik ten Hag plenty of gratitude for that.

The Dutch gaffer is continuously looking for ways to upgrade the playing squad available at his disposal, with some astute signings made in the January transfer window, in order to help the Reds finish the season strong.

I’d argue that the upcoming summer is the most important United have had in years. Get it right and the Reds could be right in amongst it next term. Get it wrong and the club could take a step backwards.

The transfer rumours are already flying, with the latest coming from AS. They believe United are keen on signing Atletico Madrid’s Yannick Carrasco.

According to their report, which is in Spanish, United are keeping tabs on the 29-year-old winger Carrasco, as they look to add more quality into their final third.

Jadon Sancho’s absence, coupled with Anthony Martial’s injuries, have left United somewhat short in that area of the pitch, hence, Ten Hag is looking to bring in at least one new face in that position.

Carrasco is someone who could be available on the cheap due to the fact that by the time the summer rolls around, he’d be entering into the final year of his terms in the Spanish capital.

This strikes me as a signing for depth rather than someone who’d be expected to start week-in-week-out. The good thing about that is the fact that the Belgium international is incredibly versatile. Carrasco can play in every position across the front line,

as and when he’s needed.

Do you think a Man United move for Yannick Carrasco would make sense? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
