Man United are named as one of the sides keeping an eye on Noussair Mazraoui.

Manchester United Football Club could be in the mix to sign a new full-back this summer, with the Old Trafford side looking to strengthen their squad during a massively important summer window.

Several names have been linked, though first, you’d imagine it’s dependent on the club being able to move on from a full-back first. Most likely, it’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Brandon Williams and Alex Telles who could be sold.

One name the Reds are currently looking at is Noussair Mazraoui. That’s according to 90min.com.

United have been named as one of the sides who are keeping tabs on the 25-year-old full-back ahead of the summer.

The ex-Ajax man, who has worked with Erik ten Hag previously, has struggled for any sort of form and consistency since making the move to Bavaria last summer.

As a result, the player’s agents have been in talks with clubs about a possible transfer for their client. United, Newcastle United, Wolves, Arsenal, West Ham United and Crystal Palace are amongst the sides showing an interest in the defender. There’s also plenty of interest in him from across Europe.

It seems clear that the player wants to be a regular starter at whatever club he ends up signing for. No doubt if he is acquired by United, he’d feel confident due to the fact that he’s worked with Ten Hag previously.

This feels like an astute move as Ten Hag continues to surround himself with familiarity. Obviously, that’s never a bad idea, particularly as this side is still adapting under the new boss.

Do you think a Man United move for Noussair Mazraoui would make sense? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
