Man United have eyes on a pair of strikers, should their move for Harry Kane fail.

A high-level striker remains the top priority for Manchester United and Erik ten Hag this summer. It’s pretty clear that the gaffer wants to bring in Harry Kane – though that will not be easy, nor cheap.

Several other names have already been linked with a potential Old Trafford switch, including Victor Osimhen, who’d also be an excellent fit.

Today, the Manchester Evening News throw another couple of names in the mix – should a move to sign the Kane fail.

United are apparently ‘keeping tabs’ on Eintracht Frankfurt striker, Randal Kolo Muani and Atalanta forward, Rasmus Hojlund. It is reiterated that Kane is the top target.

Muani is certainly an interesting one. He has 16 goals in 35 games for Eintracht Frankfurt, while also earning France caps in the process.

Aged just 24, Muani only joined Frankfurt last summer, meaning the Bundesliga outfit should expect to make a huge financial gain on his sale if they’re forced into letting him go.

Hojlund is much younger. He’s just 20, though he also only moved clubs last summer. He plays for Serie A club, Atalanta.

He scored a hat-trick on his full Denmark debut just last weekend, whereas countryman Christian Eriksen could well be in his ear about moving to the Old Trafford club if we need him to do that!

This just feels like United are doing their due diligence and assessing all their options before breaking the bank to sign Kane. No doubt he’d be an unreal piece of business, however, the longevity that either Muani or Hojlund would bring makes them both attractive options – assuming both can reach their individual peaks.
