Manchester United links to Jadon Sancho are dominating the headlines at the moment. Heck, that story is certainly keeping us busy here at Old Trafford Faithful.
Well, a new name that stories seem to be increasing around is Kai Havertz. The German has been in excellent form for Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen this term…
Now, late last night, The Sun on Sunday offered us an update on his future – and it certainly makes for positive reading if you’re a fan of his.
Apparently, United are ‘leading the race’ to sign the superstar 20-year-old attacker, who is the kind of ‘young, all-round player’ that they want to sign ‘for the future’.
Furthermore, United are expected to open the bidding with a £50million bid, as they want to make their Havertz move now as his value will only increase.
Do not fear, though, as this deal won’t affect any move for Jadon Sancho as United could potentially secure a huge double raid on the Bundesliga – securing both targets in one summer.
In terms of fit, United believe Havertz’s versatility could be key, as they believe he can play out wide as well as in the middle.
Add Sancho and Havertz to this squad and suddenly you’ve got an incredibly talented, deep, collection of players who are capable of breaking down any defence in the world.
Yes, it’s easier said than done to push these deals over the line, particularly with everything that’s going on right now, but it definitely gets the excitement flowing.
