Man United are showing an interest in Inter Milan goalkeeper, Andre Onana.

Manchester United’s need to sign a new goalkeeper seems to be growing with each passing game. David de Gea has been an unreal servant to the club, though it’s clear he doesn’t necessarily suit this style of play.

Erik ten Hag may be tempted to move in a different direction. Dean Henderson feels like a genuine option again, though it depends on how quickly his body heals following surgery.

In the event that Hendo isn’t ready, or deemed good enough, the club may look to sign a new shot-stopper. Several names have been linked, including Inter Milan’s Andre Onana.

Gianluca Di Marzio has provided the latest information on Onana, while speaking to Sky Sports News.

Apparently, United ‘like’ the 27-year-old goalkeeper, while Chelsea are also keen. Di Marzio stated that both the English clubs have Onana on their ‘list’, ahead of a huge summer window.

They’d then talk about transfer fee. di Marzio claimed that it’d take €50m (£43m) to prise the Cameroon international away from the Serie A side this summer. That would be pure profit for Inter, who signed the shot-stopper on a free transfer from Ajax just last summer.

What we do know about Onana is that he’s perfect for the Ten Hag system. The pair worked together at Ajax, with the United gaffer knowing his strengths and weaknesses.

It all depends on what sort of budget Ten Hag is working with. If United are willing to spend big, then signing a new keeper, along with a top striker shouldn’t be a problem. If money is tight, however, things could get tough…

You can check out Onana in action tonight, as Inter take on AC Milan in the Champions League semi-final.
