Man United-linked Adrien Rabiot looks to finally have a new home – and it will not be Old Trafford.
Manchester United made some excellent signings over the summer, with Erik ten Hag being delivered some quality individuals to strengthen his playing squad. However, the sad truth is that there is still plenty of work to go…
Among the problem areas is midfield. More depth is needed, with Manuel Ugarte already hit with a heavy burden – without even playing a single minute.
One player heavily linked with an Old Trafford switch recently is Adrien Rabiot. The free agent midfielder left Juventus this summer and he has been looking for a new side ever since.
It was said that his wage demands were somewhat astronomical, making it hard for the Red Devils to justify a move to sign the World Cup winner.
Well, it looks as though the United-linked midfielder is now all set to find a new home, according to Fabrizio Romano. The 29-year-old is now in ‘advanced talks’ with Olympique Marseille, with negotiations now underway on contract terms.

The French club believe they’ll seal the coup within the next couple of days, which is a major piece of business for a side who are looking to compete at the highest level.
However, it does tell us one of two things. Either Rabiot was always intent on returning back to his homeland, or the player’s entourage have spent the summer trying to drum up fake interest in the player’s services in order to secure their client a better deal.
Rabiot would have definitely added some extra squad depth to the United side, though he wouldn’t have come cheaply. Perhaps he wanted more money to move abroad, though INEOS were never really going to cave into his demands.
