Man United-linked forward, Brian Brobbey, could now leave Ajax this summer.

Manchester United Football Club have signed a forward in the form of Joshua Zirkzee this summer. The Dutchman arrives from Atalanta with plenty of promise.

Erik ten Hag simply had to replace Anthony Martial’s minutes in the final third, though there’s still a chance the Old Trafford side double dip in the final third and bring in another attacker.

Among the names linked with a Reds switch recently is Brian Brobbey. The striker has worked with Ten Hag previously and we all know our manager has a preference to surround himself with familiarity.

Now, Florian Plettenberg has provided an update on Brobbey’s future, claiming that the United-linked forward ‘could leave’ his current club this summer.

The 22-year-old has received ‘many inquiries’ at this point, while Brobbey is ‘keen’ to play in the Premier League. Plettenberg believes around £25m would be enough to get a deal done.

Check out Florian Plettenberg’s X post on the news here:

Brobbey will no doubt fetch plenty of attention given the relatively low asking price. You’d usually expect to see a much higher fee, particularly given the fact he has three years left on his contract.

This deal is far more unlikely given United have already signed Zirkzee, but I wouldn’t completely rule it out.

What I will say is that it’s probably dependent on player sales. United will have to free up both a space in the dressing room and some funds in order to bring Brobbey in. I am not sure that will happen quickly enough.

We’ll just have to remain patient and see how this one plays out.
