Man United-linked midfielder, Georgiy Sudakov, will leave Shakhtar Donetsk this summer.
Manchester United Football Club need to invest in the playing squad this coming summer. The Red Devils fans are hoping for a positive impact from Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS, with the new part-owners looking to hit the ground running.
Money is expected to be somewhat tight this time around, hence, funds will have to be generated from player sales, giving the manager a decent chunk of change to continue to mould this playing squad into one that fits his image.
Today’s latest transfer story comes from The Standard, who believe the Reds remain interested in Georgiy Sudakov.
Apparently, the United-linked 21-year-old will ‘definitely’ leave his current club, Shakhtar Donetsk, this summer. Sudakov is all set to join a ‘top’ Premier League side.
Arsenal are seemingly the current frontrunners, with the Gunners tipped to make a move for midfielder Sudakov. United, Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool are also keen. That alone should tell you everything you need to know about his talent and ability.
Shakhtar officials have apparently been in London this week, as they plan for their summer transfer window, during which they’re all set to lose Sudakov.
In terms of asking price, Shakhtar value at just a little under the £62m initial fee Chelsea paid to sign Mykhailo Mudryk a couple of years ago. Around £60m should be enough for Sudakov.
United absolutely need help in the middle of the park. If Sudakov is the answer for Ten Hag, then the club have to back him and deliver their man. Assuming that the Dutchman remains in charge beyond this current summer transfer window…
