Machester United and Jose Mourinho clearly aren’t messing around this summer. After sealing deals for both Diogo Dalot and Fred, another move could well be on the cards.
Reports from O Jogo in Portugal, translated by The Mirror, are claiming that a £35million bid for Anderson Talisca has been lodged. Although the Red Devils aren’t alone in the chase, with two unnamed Chinese Super League sides matching the offer.
The 24-year-old has spent the last two seasons on loan with Besiktas in Turkey. Last term, Talisca scored a mightily impressive 20 goals in 47 outings; and you can see why interest in the attacker is heightening.
In the modern-day Premier League, Talisca has all the attributes and qualities that should lead to success, but I’m just not sure where he’d fit into Jose Mourinho’s starting line-up.
Talisca primarily plays through the middle, be it as a #10 or the main striker. That’s not an area that United really need to strengthen in, and personally, I’d love to see the Old Trafford club go all-out for a world-class right-winger.
With that said, you never know what’s going to happen with Mourinho in charge, and if the self-proclaimed Special One likes him enough, then I wouldn’t be surprised to see this deal happen anyway; although it doesn’t make complete sense…
