Manchester United’s lack of creativity is clear for all to see. If Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is going to succeed at Old Trafford, it’s an issue he has to fix sooner rather than later.
Well, amongst the names linked with a potential Reds move is Christian Eriksen.
Today, we’ve learned more about that possible transfer and it comes in the form of an exclusive from FCInterNews, translated brilliantly by Sport Witness.
It is being claimed that United have made a £20m offer for the 27-year-old, while FCInterNews are claiming that Spurs are pushing the player towards the Reds – so that the Lilywhites don’t lose the Dane for free in the summer.
On the flip side, his agent prefers to wait until the summer, hence why Inter Milan are seen to be the frontrunners for his signature. There’s also a good chance other clubs may come in for him, while Eriksen would likely get a much bigger payday due to the lack of a transfer fee.
Eriksen would be a stunning signing for United. He’d bring some experience to the table, but more importantly than that, his quality. The lack of a creative spark in the middle of the park is why the Reds struggle to break down the so-called ‘minnows’ of the Premier League. Eriksen is capable of finding that killer pass to bypass deep blocks.
I still don’t believe Eriksen will choose United, though. Unfortunately, the reality of the situation is that there are better options available to him.
