Man United make contact with Juventus over Paulo Dybala: report

Manchester United’s summer window started off rather well, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sealing deals for Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

New contracts were also given out to players currently at the club, too, although things have gone rather stagnant over the last fortnight…

With gaping holes still in the squad and the futures of Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku uncertain, there is work still to be done for the Baby Faced Assassin.

Today, a new name has been thrown into the ring – and it’s that of Juventus forward, Paulo Dybala.

The story comes from Gazzetta dello Sport’s Friday print edition, translated via Sport Witness. They’re claiming that United have ‘made contact’ with the European giant Juventus over the top-class 25-year-old Argentina international.

GdS also add that the ‘track is open’ for a deal to be potentially done, although there is one big problem – Dybala is keen to stay in Turin. Heck, who can blame him? There’s a fantastic array of talent at Juventus and trophies are almost guaranteed.

If Lukaku does leave then Dybala would be a high-level replacement, there’s no doubt about that. However, he’d cost a pretty penny and if he’s not got his heart set on a move is it really something United should pursue…?
