Man United make Harry Kane enquiry: report

Manchester United Football Club won’t be back in action until April 30th at the very earliest. It’s currently a weird time across the sporting universe, while nobody really knows how this situation is going to play out…

Without any actual games to cover, us here at Old Trafford Faithful suspected it’d be a busy time for transfer rumours. Well, that’s seemingly the case.

A name that is increasingly being linked with a Reds switch is Harry Kane. We covered a story just last week from 90min.com, in which it was claimed that United would consider a move for the superstar Englishman should he become available.

Today, we’ve been given another update and it comes from the always-excellent Laurie Whitwell of The Athletic. He writes that United have made an enquiry for the prolific 26-year-old. I mean, who wouldn’t be interested in the player who is arguably the best striker in this country right now?

That said, Kane apparently wasn’t on Solskjaer’s list of transfer targets drawn up in February, but I’d put that more down to the fact that nobody expected him to be available…

Look, this is by no means a dead-cert. Kane still has ample time left on his current contract and Daniel Levy is an unbelievable businessman. If there was even the slightest chance that United could get him, you’d imagine the Englishman would probably cost somewhere around the £200million mark.

However, Tottenham Hotspur would obviously prefer to see him abroad so that Kane couldn’t come back to haunt them on a regular basis…
