Man United have made Joshua Zirkzee one of their main transfer targets this summer.
Manchester United have to replace Anthony Martial this summer. That goes without saying.
The Old Trafford club need to find someone reliable to help ease the burden on young Rasmus Hojlund up front. The Dane had a mixed campaign. He needs some help.
Several names have been linked with filling the void left by the aforementioned Frenchman, including Joshua Zirkzee.
Now, Sky Sports News’ Lyall Thomas has provided an update on that front. According to the journalist, United have ‘made clear’ their interest in the 23-year-old striker.
The forward is now emerging as a ‘priority’ target, with AC Milan and Arsenal also keen on acquiring the Dutchman.

Joshua Zirkzee update: #ManUtd have made clear their interest in the player and #Bologna striker is emerging as one of their priority targets. #Arsenal + #ACMilan still interested too. More on @SkySportsNews and here: https://t.co/wMiKEiU6IH pic.twitter.com/yUJyCiF1YD

Zirkzee scored twelve goals across all competitions last season, as he enjoyed a breakout campaign for Bologna in Serie A.
Interest in the striker has since heightened, meaning United will not have it easy in their attempts to acquire the emerging forward. As a result, the transfer fee could drastically rise.
This feels like the right sort of player profile United should be looking at. Young with his best years to come, while also being content at splitting the minutes with the aforementioned Hojlund.
