Man United make Leroy Sane enquiry

Man United have asked about the availability of Bayern Munich winger, Leroy Sane.

Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United have signed three players thus far, though I reckon the new Reds boss would have hoped for more.

There’s still plenty of time left in the transfer window, with the Dutch gaffer still exploring many avenues. Today, a new name was thrown into the mix; Leroy Sane.

The German, who is considering his future at Bayern Munich after Sadio Mane’s arrival, could potentially be available this summer.

It’s The Mirror with the claim, who state that United have made a ‘surprise enquiry’ about potentially signing the 26-year-old, as Ten Hag looks to bolster his attack.

The 26-year-old started 22 Bundesliga games last term, while the arrival of Mane is only going to decrease the German’s minutes

Ten Hag is still ‘hoping to bolster’ his options, with Sane’s situation at Bayern now making the ex-Manchester man a player of interest. This comes after a move for Ajax winger Antony feels like it’s now dead in the water.

Sane’s Premier League experience is obviously a pretty big factor in this one, with The Mirror claiming he would take ‘little acclimatising’ to get back into the swing of things here in the Premier League’s top flight.

The German is a player who often blew hot and cold for Manchester City under Pep Guardiola, eventually moving on due to a lack of consistent playing time at the Etihad.

There’s no doubt that if the German was brought in by Ten Hag, he wouldn’t be starting every single week here in Manchester either. The new United gaffer has made a point of it being a squad game rather than him having a fixed starting XI.

Do you think Leroy Sane would be a good signing for Man United? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
