Back on May 28th, we covered a story from The Metro, in which it was claimed that Manchester United ‘hope’ to beat Real Madrid to the signing of Ligue 1 sensation, Eduardo Camavinga.
Well, fast-forward a few days and the latest update in this brewing saga comes from Mundo Deportivo’s Monday print edition, translated via Sport Witness.
They again link United with a move for Camavinga, stating that the Red Devils have made ‘multiple proposals’ for the mega-talented 17-year-old. However, they face serious competition, from Real Madrid…
Apparently, Camavinga isn’t keen on a move to Old Trafford as he wants to wear the white of Real Madrid, being especially keen on playing for their current manager, Zinedine Zidane…

As soon as I hear stuff like this, I immediately get my back up. If you don’t want to play for United as a first-choice, then to me, it’s not worth the risk.
No matter how much money you throw at a player, the heart wants what the heart wants. We made that mistake with Alexis Sanchez and Angel di Maria, let’s not do that again.
If Camavinga, who is having an insanely good season in France, wants to be here then so be it. If not, look at other targets. It really is that simple.
