Man United make stunning move for top Liverpool transfer target, trying to lower asking price: report

Manchester United have made a sensational swoop to try and top Liverpool target Nabil Fekir.

That’s according to Le Progres in France, per Sky Sports News. They say that the Lyon man was close to joining the Merseyside club, now, the Red Devils are preparing to swoop.

Furthermore, the Old Trafford club are trying to knock down Fekir’s price by around £4.5million after his failed Anfield medical.

Make no bones about it, Fekir is a fantastically gifted individual. At 24, he’d bring some youthful exuberance to the attacking midfield spot, in an area where creating opportunities became a problem last term. He’d also take some of the weight off Paul Pogba’s shoulders – which is only a positive thing.

Getting one over on your old rivals is always superb. If this deal were to happen, their fans would be absolutely raging. I guess it’d be their fault, though. They didn’t manage to push a deal over the line quickly enough; allowing others to make their move.

Fekir is currently at the World Cup with France, and they looked excellent yesterday. Don’t be surprised if we hear nothing in regards to this move for a couple of weeks as the Lyon man is pretty busy right now…
