Manchester United centre-back Marcos Rojo is being heavily targeted for a transfer this summer, with Paris Saint-Germain amongst those interested.
That’s according to The Sun, who says Marseille, Zenit and Everton are all keen on signing the 28-year-old this summer, with Jose Mourinho ready to let him leave if the price is right.
The Argentina international enjoyed an excellent first season under the self-proclaimed Special One, but the injury he suffered back in April of 2016 has severely hampered his progress at Old Trafford; resulting in him being completely dropped from the team.
After a pretty decent World Cup for his country, including scoring a brilliant winner in Argentina’s last group game, interest in Rojo has re-ignited.
Honestly, I find it surprising that he’s the centre-back being touted for a move away, while the likes of Phil Jones and Chris Smalling still remain on the books…
The English duo certainly should be shipped off first as both are far worse footballers, but if United can get around £20million for a player they signed for £14million, that’d be an excellent deal; provided that money is immediately re-invested in the squad.
