Man United man ready to consider future at club if situation doesn’t change: report

Manchester United Football Club have a defensive struggle on their hands. Players aren’t performing, Jose Mourinho isn’t inspiring.

Perhaps the biggest issue the Red Devils have defensively is Eric Bailly. It’s a frustrating one because he’s obviously a brilliant player. He has been struggling for form recently, though.

However, according to the usually reliable ESPN, the Ivorian is ready to consider his Old Trafford future if his situation doesn’t improve. It comes just days after being hooked in the first-half of the game against Newcastle United. During that match, the Red Devils managed to turn things around without him.

I understand his frustration. After such a stunning debut season, his second term has to be considered a failure. He only started fifteen games, although injury didn’t help his case. Perhaps that has what has set him back somewhat, but I still maintain the belief that he should be starting every week. He’s our best defender and I don’t even think it’s close.

The report does add that United would be unwilling to sell Bailly, which makes sense. He only joined two years ago, but the fact that they want him to stick around reinforces the belief that the club clearly thinks he’s good enough.
