Man United midfielder close to leaving Old Trafford after personal terms agreed: report

Manchester United’s Marouane Fellaini is close to leaving Old Trafford, after agreeing personal terms with Turkish giants Galatasaray.

That’s according to Aksam, translated by The Metro. The Turkish media outlet says that Fellaini’s representatives met with Galatasaray and agreed upon a huge five-year deal, keeping him at the club until he’s 35.

In all honesty, that’s a contract that the Red Devils just wouldn’t be interested in meeting, particularly in terms of longevity. However, Aksam also say that Paris Saint-Germain and Besiktas are also interested in Fellaini, so perhaps a deal may not have been fully agreed just yet.

Since day one, the majority of United fans have seemingly had some weird issue with Fellaini and I’ve never quite understood it. He’s a useful player in specific situations and under Jose Mourinho, he’s been used well.

With that said, why would he want to stay at Old Trafford when the fans are constantly on his back? At least he’ll be happier wherever he goes, hopefully, his new supporters appreciate him.

The 30-year-old is currently sidelined with a knee injury, and he isn’t going to be back in action for at least a few weeks yet.
