Man United ‘monitoring’ Fulham midfielder, Palhinha

Man United have eyes on Fulham central midfielder, Palhinha.

This week has been dominated by Manchester United being linked with a move to sign a new midfielder.

It seems like every rumour this week has been a central player. That trend is continuing into the weekend. This time, it’s Fulham’s Palhinha who the Red Devils seemingly have eyes on.

The Sun covered the rumour just a couple of days ago, claiming that United are ‘monitoring’ the situation of the 27-year-old midfielder, who has been extremely impressive since moving to the Premier League.

In terms of cost, Fulham would demand £60m to let their key man leave, though they have eyed Mateus Uribe, 32, as a replacement should they be forced into the sale of Palhinha during the upcoming window.

Palhinha is a player who’d improve this United squad due to his extreme work ethic, sheer ability and desire to win. The fact that Fulham only paid £20m to sign him not too long ago, and they’re set to triple their money, tells you everything you need to know about just how good he’s been.

It’s claimed that United are to make their Palhinha move in the ‘coming weeks’, bolstering a midfield area that outside of Casemiro and Christian Eriksen, has been quite inconsistent.

Fred, Scott McTominay and Donny van de Beek have all flattered to deceive, hence why Erik ten Hag could look to bring in someone new in this area of the field.

Palhinha would certainly be a step in the right direction. The fact he has Premier League experience leaves me feeling positive in my belief that he could come straight into the side and perform at a high level from day one.

Do you think a Man United move for Palhinha would make sense? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
