Man United want at least £43m, to sell Mason Greenwood this coming summer.
Manchester United Football Club still have a decision to make in regard to Mason Greenwood. With INEOS now in charge of footballing operations, there’s every chance that the Red Devils may choose to take another chance on the Englishman.
I’ll tell you now. That wouldn’t go down well. As we understand it, no decision has been made at this time. Rumours are now swirling in regard to Greenwood’s long-term future. The attacker has, by all accounts, done well on loan at Getafe. No doubt he’s hoping this successful season means another club will take a punt on him if he’s not welcomed back at the Theatre of Dreams.
According to Marca, per The Mirror, both Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are interested in Greenwood.
Their claim states that United chiefs have already met with Barca officials over a possible move, with the Reds naming their asking price for the 22-year-old starlet. They want a deal worth at least £43m amid some heavy interest from two European giants.
United chiefs were recently spotted in Barca which does bring real viability to this report, as the club look to work out what the next move will be in regard to Greenwood.
I still firmly believe it’d be tough to bring the attacker back into the fold here in Manchester. Nobody wants to see his young career ruined, though we cannot simply forget about what he did…
I guess the only person Greenwood can blame is himself, though it doesn’t look like his football career will be over as a result of his actions – even if he may never play for United again.
