Man United have named a very young 25-man squad for their first pre-season friendly against Rosenborg.

Just like that, Manchester United will return today! The Old Trafford club have only been away for a little over a month, though the Red Devils will begin their work for the 2024/25 campaign this evening against Rosenborg in Norway.

Erik ten Hag has been putting his players through their paces in training for a week now, though without the presence of the majority of the senior squad – most of whom remain on holiday.

That said, there are a few familiar faces who have been working hard, mixed in with several players for the future.

The club have named a 25-man squad for the game this evening, including the talented Harry Amass, the brilliant Toby Collyer and exciting Ethan Wheatley.

Check out the 25-man squad in full here:

Harrison, Mee, Vitek; Amass, Aljofree, Bennett, Evans, Fish, Jackson, Murray, Ogunneye, Oyedele, Wan-Bissaka; Casemiro, Collyer, Fletcher, Hannibal, Mather, Mount, Scanlon, Williams; Ennis, Hugill, Rashford, Wheatley.

As you can see, the likes of Casemiro, Marcus Rashford, Mason Mount and Aaron Wan-Bissaka provide some experience for this youthful-looking group. Let’s hope they can lead this group to a positive result.

In terms of who I am excited to see, Amass tops the bill. Collyer is another young man with massive potential.

I’m delighted to see Rhys Bennett in the mix, too. This is a player who has the ability to go right the way to the top, though injury halted his progress recently. He could be the surprise of the summer if he ends up on tour.

Go well, lads!
