Man United named as the club that has made most progress in Sancho chase: report

Another day, another Jadon Sancho update for us Manchester United fans, huh?

It seems to me that this move will happen at some point, but for right now, it’s a case of documenting it all and keeping a close eye on how things progress.

Today’s update comes from Sport’s Saturday print edition, translated via Sport Witness, who actually say that the Englishman is viewed as an alternative to Neymar, from an FC Barcelona perspective.

However, the story is good news for United fans, with the Reds named as the ‘club that has made the most progress’ in pursuit of the superstar forward, although the deal hasn’t ‘yet come to fruition’. Simply put, Barca have an opening, albeit one that’s closing.

Sancho is this summer’s prized asset, and with a transfer fee that’ll probably be somewhere in the £100million ball-park, there’s only a handful of clubs who can afford to pay that – particularly with everything that’s happening in the world right now.

United have lacked that world-class right-winger since Cristiano Ronaldo left. It’s probably the most pressing need in the Reds squad right now. Why not go all out and sign the most-talented Englishman within the sport to fill that void?

Sancho perfectly fits in with Solskjaer’s mantra. He’s pally with Marcus Rashford and the rest of the English contingent and he’d be a huge upgrade on what United already have. Honestly, what’s not to like…?
