Man United not interested in re-signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic: report

Manchester United Football Club have had a serious problem at sticking the ball in the back of the net at present, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer tasked with atoning for his error.

After all, it was the Baby Faced Assassin who chose to part with both Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez over the summer, without replacement…

Perhaps the weirdest incoming transfer story of late has been a rumoured short-term move for Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

However, according to Sky Sports, via The Metro, United have rejected the chance to sign the 38-year-old former striker, with the Reds having no interest in the iconic Swede.

The veteran forward was nothing short of sublime during his stint at Old Trafford, scoring goals for fun and proving to be that experienced figure that a young United team needed.

Sadly, injury ruined the end of his debut season and in the following January, Ibrahimovic would leave and head to the MLS.

Now out-of-contract and on the move once more, Zlatan will, unfortunately, not be heading back to the Theatre of Dreams as Solskjaer doesn’t want short-term fixes. Instead, he’s looking to build for the future which definitely feels like the best move at this point in time.

Wherever Zlatan ends up, there’s no doubting he’ll have a huge positive impact both on and off the field.
