Man United officials have already sat down for talks with Benjamin Sesko’s agents.
I think it’s fair to say that Manchester United’s squad is looking super thin in many areas of the field.
The final third is my big concern. Without Jadon Sancho this weekend, the Red Devils had to rely on Anthony Elanga and Facundo Pellistri. That depth is not going to win you trophies anytime soon.
With Cristiano Ronaldo’s future still up in the air, it absolutely makes sense for United to explore their options when it comes to signing a striker. Slovenian Benjamin Sesko has been the name consistently linked with a potential Old Trafford switch over the last couple of weeks.
Well, the i newspaper have provided us with an update on Sesko. United, and other potential buyers, have learned how much it’d cost to sign the 19-year-old. An offer in excess of £45million would get the deal done.
What’s intriguing is that United officials have apparently met with the representatives of the striker over the last fortnight, while talks have also taken place with both Chelsea and Newcastle United, too.
As you’d expect, the official word from RB Salzburg is that Sesko remains their player and they hope that’ll be the case for the 2022/23 season. Their aim is to sell the talented forward next summer.
You get the impression that this transfer is going to be a super difficult one to pull off this time around. United will push semi-hard to try and sway Sesko to make the move.
However, the feeling is that the Old Trafford club will only ramp up that interest if Ronaldo does actually leave. At this stage, that’s probably 50/50 to happen.
Do you think Benjamin Sesko would be a good signing for Man United? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
Yes i think Sesko would be a very good signing .He would add a physical presence up front that we do not have at the moment .Also he may not come next year to United if the likes or Real Madrid and PSG come calling so even it costs us a bit extra now i would buy him
