Man United open to Christian Pulisic loan move

Man United is open to signing Christian Pulisic on loan in the January transfer window.

With the winter window now firmly in sight, the transfer talk is ramping up. Just as you’d expect, Manchester United continue to be linked with every name under the sun – as is tradition.

The Old Trafford club have lost Cristiano Ronaldo. Although a shadow of his former self, United are now a man light in the final third. Those minutes have to be replaced in some way, shape or form.

Enter, Christian Pulisic as a possible option.

It’s ESPN with the claim. On Sunday, they shared a story in which they reckon United are ‘open’ to a January loan move for the 24-year-old, who is ‘expected’ to be allowed to leave Chelsea.

United, along with Newcastle and Arsenal, have been made aware of the US international’s availability when the transfer window opens. Chelsea themselves are keen to find ‘Captain America’ a new club.

ESPN sources state that United aren’t planning to make any ‘substantial’ moves in the winter window, though they appreciate that Erik ten Hag may require an extra body in the final third.

Pulisic’s versatility across the front line make him an ‘appealing’ option for the Red Devils, with this transfer certainly making plenty of sense.

The US star has Premier League experience, is proven at the highest level and that aforementioned versatility could be a huge asset. Although he hasn’t really set the world alight for Chelsea, the ability is obviously there. Perhaps all he needs is a change of scenery.

Personally, I’d be all for this move happening. It’s a nice short-term fix, with a view to a potentially longer-term deal if all goes well for Pulisic at the club he reportedly supported as a youngster.
