Man United will demand huge money if they’re forced into any Marcus Rashford sale.
Manchester United Football Club are playing some delightful football at present, propelled by their star man, Marcus Rashford.
The Englishman is undoubtedly in the form of his life under Erik ten Hag. We all knew he was capable of producing this spectacular football on a regular basis.
However, there’s one small elephant in the room that needs addressing – his contract situation.
The Englishman has a deal that’s expiring in the summer of 2024, meaning United either have to cash in this summer to maximise earnings, get Rashford to commit to new terms here, or risk losing him for free…
Well, the Daily Star have information on how much Rashford would cost any prospective buyer, with United to demand a ‘whopping’ fee of £120m to let the 25-year-old leave if they’re forced into a summer sale.
There’s no doubt that Rashford will be courted by Europe’s elite following this incredible form, which does make United’s task at getting him to renew a whole lot tougher.
The ball is firmly in the player’s court, with United now probably having to pay Rashford astronomical wages as a direct result.
Whatever United’s main man wants is what he should get. The Red Devils need to keep their homegrown hero at the club at all costs, it really is as simple as that. He’s the face of this football club and replacing him would cost a lot more in the long run.
I do think there’s a good chance that Rashford does commit to new terms, but it’s not a foregone conclusion at this point. He’ll have other, very tempting offers out there…
