Man United are still looking to move away from winger Antony this summer, with a replacement already eyed.
Manchester United’s dressing room is undergoing major change. It all starts with the manager. Will Erik ten Hag be here next summer? It’s looking increasingly unlikely given recent results and performances…
However, planning for the transfer window must go on, with INEOS and Sir Jim Ratcliffe looking to hit the ground running.
According to the latest information, Antony’s head could be on the chopping block.
It’s Rudy Galetti with the story. He took to X to confirm that United are ‘planning to sell’ the struggling 24-year-old this summer, but only for an ‘acceptable’ amount.
United are trying to ‘maximise’ the sale and save money on his ÂŖ6m-a-year salary. His contract runs until 2027.
Galetti also provided information on a potential replacement, with Michael Olise already identified as a player who is ‘top of the list’. The Englishman is not the only option, with other wingers being ‘monitored’.

Antony has been pretty atrocious this season, after a relatively solid debut campaign. The Brazilian has had off-field issues to contend with, which hasn’t helped his chances at succeeding here in Manchester.
The problem here was that Antony was always under pressure due to the massive transfer fee. It’s tough to perform under such circumstances. This was an overpay. We know that now.
Moving on from Antony is also going to prove difficult, particularly if United are intent on receiving a decent fee for the ex-Ajax man. I just cannot see any top tier clubs interested in making a move for the Brazil international.
As for Olise, this would be a definite upgrade if United could pull it off. That said, he’s had injury issues and the last thing this squad needs is another injury prone player…
