Man United player ratings during 0-0 draw vs Man City (Premier League home, 2020/21)

David de Gea – Made a couple of routine saves. Wasn’t really tested. 6/10

Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Struggled in the first 45 but was far better in the second 45. His tackling improved massively and positionally he was solid. 6/10

Victor Lindelof – Calm, composed and good with the ball at his feet. 7/10

Harry Maguire – Led by example. Won plenty of headers. Made some great blocks and wasn’t afraid to pass it out from the back either. 8/10

Luke Shaw – His first league start in over a month and he didn’t put a foot wrong. His tackling was exceptional while he always found a red shirt to get us out of trouble. 8/10

Scott McTominay – Showed some nice touches, body faints and runs, though there were also some nervy moments with his passing. A mixed bag. 5/10

Fred – Similar to McTominay really. Worked his socks off. 6/10

Paul Pogba – Made some positive bursts forward. His passing was accurate and he wasn’t afraid to get stuck in. One of his better games of late. 6/10

Bruno Fernandes – Pretty quiet. Had a chance early on to play in Rashford but he couldn’t find the Englishman. Tried a few long-range shots from the second 45. 5/10

Marcus Rashford – Was fouled by Walker in the box for a penalty – but it was rightly ruled out for offside. Had a half-chance with his left-foot in the second 45. 4/10

Mason Greenwood – Couldn’t really get into the game. Worked hard on both sides of the ball, though. 4/10

Subs:

Anthony Martial – Looked lively.
