Here are our player ratings as Man United lose their fourth game of the season.
Andre Onana – Had a relatively quiet afternoon. Couldn’t do anything about the Palace goal. His distribution was rather unspectacular but it wasn’t really necessary. 6/10
Diogo Dalot – Bombarded up and down the right-hand side all game, but to no avail in the attacking third. He defended fairly well. 5/10
Raphael Varane – Solid enough for the most part. Was largely camped on the halfway line as United pressed for an equaliser. 5/10
Victor Lindelof – Distribution wasn’t great. There were one or two nervy moments as per usual. 5/10
Sofyan Amrabat – Gave away too many fouls. Did work hard but his passing wasn’t all that great either. 4/10
Casemiro – Had a better second half but the first 45 was poor. It was his initial mistake that led to the Palace goal. Could have been sent off after a number of iffy tackles. 3/10
Mason Mount – Probably United’s best player on both sides of the ball. Worked hard defensively and led the press well. Was neat and tidy with the ball at feet. 6/10
Bruno Fernandes – Wasn’t allowed any time or space on the ball and didn’t find himself in many threatening positions. You expect better. 4/10
Facundo Pellistri – Struggled to get into the game. Was marshalled well by his opposing full-back. 4/10
Marcus Rashford – Started brightly but that initial promise fizzled out pretty quickly. Wasn’t involved at all in the second 45. 4/10
Rasmus Hojlund – Quiet for the most part. Held the ball up well on a couple of occasions. Didn’t get much service. 4/10
