David de Gea – Made some excellent saves late on to keep United in it, but couldn’t stop the 99th minute penalty. 6/10
Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Did another number on Mitoma in this match. Defended so well and kept his side locked down. 7/10
Victor Lindelof – Continues to prove his worth as a top quality centre-back. 6/10
Luke Shaw – Had an outstanding game for 98 minutes. Until giving away a soft free-kick, then handling in the area as a result. 6/10
Diogo Dalot – Started as a left-back again and had a mixed time of it. 5/10
Casemiro – Struggled with the quality of Enciso at times. Towed the line of yet another sending off. Did his defensive duties well enough.
Fred – Brought his usual energy and effort. Covered every blade of grass. Offered little in the final third. 5/10
Bruno Fernandes –
Antony – Couldn’t really get him into the game. Had a frustrating evening. Involved in a feisty tussle with Dunk. Subbed off shortly after. 4/10
Marcus Rashford – Looked like United’s biggest threat down the left using his speed. Had a couple of half-opportunities but that was about it. 5/10
Anthony Martial – Had a golden chance in the first 45 to give United the lead. Somewhat quiet in the second half. 5/10
Subs:
Marcel Sabitzer – Helped solidify the midfield as United looked to see the game out.
Jadon Sancho – Not involved down that right-hand side.
Wout Weghorst – Didn’t really get into it.
