David de Gea – Had a quiet one. His defence did their job. Made one or two comfortable stops. 5/10
Diogo Dalot – Back in on the right-hand side and did well. Always a willing runner forward and defended superbly. 6/10
Victor Lindelof – Sublime at times. Made some crucial tackles and stopped a certain goal with an incredible goalline block. 8/10
Luke Shaw – Continues to thrive in the centre-back role. Looks so comfortable at the heart of the back four. 7/10
Tyrell Malacia – Blew hot and cold. Was sloppy at times and made some rash tackles, resulting in needless free-kicks. 4/10
Casemiro – Back to his best after a pretty poor run of form. Won the ball back countless times. 7/10
Christian Eriksen – Uncharacteristically sloppy when playing the all-important pass. Perhaps an extensive run in the side is catching up with him. 4/10
Marcel Sabitzer – Looked good at times. Worked his socks off on both sides of the ball. 6/10
Bruno Fernandes – United’s best player in an attacking sense despite carrying an injury. Scored the all-important winner. Class. 7/10
Jadon Sancho – Looked bright and lively. At the heart of some good moves. Made the wrong decision in the final third on more than one occasion. 5/10
Marcus Rashford – Made some great runs. Struggled in the finishing department during this one. 5/10
Subs:
Fred – Added energy to the midfield when United were starting to struggle.
Antony – Had a couple of decent chances to end the game.
Harry Maguire – Brought on to help see the game out.
