David de Gea – Made a couple of smart saves to preserve his clean sheet. Did his job well. 7/10

Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Defended diligently for 90+ minutes. Tried to get forward wherever possible. 6/10

Raphael Varane – Superb. Was always in control of the situation. Calm and composed throughout. 6/10

Victor Lindelof – Continued his great form. Looking strong at the heart of defence. Impressive in every aspect today. 7/10

Luke Shaw – He played well in that left-back position. Defended well. Moved forward at every opportunity. Didn’t get many attacking possibilities. 8/10

Casemiro – Scored the sole goal of the game with a sublime finish. Bossed it in midfield. Won possession back countless times. 8/10

Christian Eriksen – Surprisingly good in the defensive aspects of his game. Couldn’t pick that killer pass. 6/10

Bruno Fernandes – It just wasn’t his day. Worked tirelessly as per usual, though the final ball or pass was often lacking. 5/10

Antony – Put in the effort and graft. Didn’t really get into many threatening positions. 5/10

Jadon Sancho – Steady enough. I’d still like to see more attacking intent and purpose. Perhaps also a little more effort and energy. 5/10

Anthony Martial – Linked up the play nicely at times, though the overall output just isn’t good enough. Typically went off injured. 5/10

Subs:

Wout Weghorst – Contributed in a similar way to Martial.

Alejandro Garnacho – Added some extra flair and directness.

Scott McTominay – Helped see the game out.

Fred – Helped see the game out.
