Man United player ratings during 1-0 win vs Wolves (Premier League away, 2022/23)

David de Gea – Made two key stops. One, denying Ruben Neves from an inch-perfect free-kick. The other, a close-range save from a header. 7/10

Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Continues to look the part. Defended well. Wasn’t afraid to bomb forward whenever necessary. Looked good. 6/10

Raphael Varane – Cruised through the game as per usual. Dealt with the Wolves threat nicely. Didn’t give Diego Costa any chances. 6/10

Luke Shaw – In an unorthodox position but didn’t look out of place. His speed was crucial on numerous occasions. Playing with confidence. 7/10

Tyrell Malacia – Steady. Did his defensive duties calmly enough. Lacked that quality on the ball at times, though. 5/10

Casemiro – Won back possession on plenty of important occasions. Defended with diligence and worked tirelessly. 6/10

Christian Eriksen – Simple yet effective. Kept United moving in the right direction. 5/10

Bruno Fernandes – Often tried the ‘Hollywood’ pass too many times, but was involved in the eventual winner. 5/10

Antony – Somewhat disappointing. Didn’t track back at times. Sloppy in possession. 3/10

Alejandro Garnacho – Passed up a golden opportunity early but looked threatening whenever in a one-on-one situation against his opposite number. 4/10

Anthony Martial – The Frenchman led the line well and linked up some moves nicely. However, he struggled in terms of finding the net. 4/10


Marcus RashfordAfter missing out on the start for disciplinary reasons, Rashy more than made up for it with the winner. Saw another goal unfortunately ruled out.

Fred – Did well off the bench. Won the ball back numerous times and got United moving again.

Donny van de Beek – Kept it simple.

Harry Maguire – Won a key header.

Anthony Elanga – Not enough time to get involved.
