David de Gea – Didn’t have a save to make whatsoever. A quiet night for the Spaniard on his return to the team. 6/10
Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Made a couple of nice tackles to stop Granada counter attacks. 6/10
Victor Lindelof – United’s best player. Played a delightful ball into Rashford for the opener and defended excellently throughout. 8/10
Harry Maguire – Tried to get forward on a few occasions. Did his defensive duties well and ensured the players didn’t lose their heads when the referee was clearly favouring the other team. 6/10
Luke Shaw – Played a pretty steady 45 minutes before being subbed at half-time. 5/10
Scott McTominay – Covered every blade of grass for the cause. Picked up a needless booking, though. He’ll now miss the second leg. 5/10
Paul Pogba – Pretty quiet. His passing was poor at times, while he often tried to do too much with the ball at his feet. 4/10
Bruno Fernandes – Didn’t really get into it but tucked away his penalty in the dying embers to make it 2-0. 5/10
Daniel James – Showed his explosive pace from time to time but I’d like to see more purpose and intent. 4/10
Mason Greenwood – Quiet. He isn’t that physical presence up there with most of our play coming from the wings. 4/10
Marcus Rashford – Clearly not fit, but still managed to contribute with a big goal. 6/10
Subs:
Alex Telles – Had a good half. Showed off his crossing ability.
Edinson Cavani – Didn’t really get into it.
Donny van de Beek – Not enough time to mark.
Nemanja Matic – Not enough time to mark.
