Man United player ratings during 3-0 victory over Charlton in Carabao Cup

Tom Heaton – Had a decent evening. Made a couple of smart stops. 5/10

Diogo Dalot – Had to come off early with injury. A shame as he’d started brightly. 5/10

Harry Maguire – Did well enough. Had a good first 45. Picked up a booking late on as he blocked off a Charlton attacker. 6/10

Lisandro Martinez – Started to tire as the game wore on. Gave away possession needlessly and got caught a few times. Still solid for the most part. 5/10

Tyrell Malacia – Steady. Did his job defensively. Picked up a late booking. 5/10

Scott McTominay – Not his finest evening. Struggled against League One opposition at times. There was a real rushed feel about his match. 4/10

Fred – Broke up the play well. Worked tirelessly throughout. 5/10

Kobbie Mainoo Played with a maturity beyond his years on full debut. Looked so calm and composed. Didn’t look out of place. 6/10

Antony – Set United on their way with a sumptuous finish with his left foot. His lack of any sort of right-foot feels like it could be a problem in the long-term, though. 6/10

Anthony Elanga – Had a goal ruled out for offside. Looked a little lost at times. 3/10

Alejandro Garnacho – Looked like United’s biggest threat, particularly in the first 45 minutes. Needs to work on his end product.

Subs:

Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Picked up where Dalot left off. Was in complete control of that right-hand side of defence.

Christian Eriksen – Sharp. Denied a couple of times by the Charlton keeper.

Casemiro – Helped see out the game.

Marcus Rashford – Got into a couple of threatening positions. Then scored late to seal United’s place in the semi-final. Added a third super late on. He can’t stop scoring at the moment!

Facundo Pellistri – Looked lively. Set up Rashford for the second.
