Man United were by far the better team away at Nottingham Forest over the weekend, winning the game 2-0 and always looking in control. Here are our player ratings.
David de Gea – Had to make a couple of early saves, though had a quiet afternoon aside from that. 6/10
Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Played as an inverted full-back and the role seemed to suit him. Came inside often. Defended well. 6/10
Harry Maguire – Picked up an early booking to have us fearing the worst, though improved as the game wore on and ended up playing a vital role. 6/10
Victor Lindelof – Rarely troubled. Played the ball out from the back decently well. Always in control. 6/10
Diogo Dalot – Switched to the left-hand side of defence and took to it like a duck to water. Scored his first United goal with a lovely strike. Defended solidly. 8/10
Casemiro – Wasn’t really a massive feature in the game. Did his job quietly but effectively. 6/10
Christian Eriksen – Came into the line-up as a last minute injury to Marcel Sabizter prevented the Austrian from playing. The Dane was outstanding, though the amount of space he was given helped. 8/10
Bruno Fernandes – At the heart of everything good about United’s play. His passing was brilliant at times. Unlucky to not get a goal or assist. Man of the Match. 8/10
Jadon Sancho – was in some promising positions though couldn’t capitalise. Looked like he’s lacking in a bit of confidence. 5/10
Antony – Arguably the best player on the pitch. Looked confident, calm and composed. Scored the opener and made the second with an outstanding pass. 8/10
Anthony Martial – Led the line well once again. Played some nice balls forward and looked sharp. Also led the press. 7/10
Subs:
Wout Weghorst – Had a couple of half-chances.
Fred – Helped see the game out.
