David de Gea – One of his better performances when distributing. Tried to get the ball back in play quickly and get United moving. 7/10
Diogo Dalot – Outstanding on both sides of the ball. Worked tirelessly. Got into threatening positions. Thwarted the counter down his side. 8/10
Raphael Varane – The Frenchman brought a calmness to the back line. He won his fair share of headers and dealt with Kane well. 7/10
Lisandro Martinez – Suddenly, we’re no longer talking about his height. This guy is unreal. Great with th ball at feet and a superb defender. 8/10
Luke Shaw – Awesome throughout. Often bombed on down the left. Good in possession. 7/10
Casemiro – So good. Mopped up. Won possession back. Even got United moving in the right direction again. Bossed it in midfield. 7/10
Fred – His best performance of the season. Scored (albeit via a deflection), created plenty of chances and didn’t let Spurs breathe in midfield. 8/10
Bruno Fernandes – Set the captain’s example. Scored the second. Led the press. Was always threatening. 8/10
Jadon Sancho – Probably United’s quietest player. But did play a part in the opener. 5/10
Antony – Always dazzled when on the ball. Had a few long range efforts saved. Played well. 7/10
Marcus Rashford – Did everything well in the build-up, though his finishing wasn’t perfect on the night. 7/10
Subs:
Scott McTominay – Subbed on to help see the game out.
Anthony Elanga – Not enough time to mark.
