Man United player ratings during 2-1 loss vs Arsenal (pre-season tour, 2024/25)

Here are our Man United player ratings from the 2-1 pre-season tour loss vs Arsenal.

Andre Onana – Asserted himself well in between the sticks. Made some good saves throughout. 7/10

Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Didn’t really cause Arsenal any threat when on the attack. Was solid enough defensively. 5/10

Harry Maguire – Continues to prove his worth with a great defensive display. Did his job well. 6/10

Leny Yoro – Came off with an injury as the first half drew to a close. Looked serious after a decent enough performance. 6/10

Harry Amass – Looked lively. Growing into pre-season. Was at fault for the Jesus goal, albeit an offside one. 5/10

Casemiro – Poor in possession. Bypassed far too easily on occasion. Looking like the issue for the Reds in midfield at the moment. 4/10

Toby Collyer – Cool, calm and composed. Looks good in every aspect of his play. Staking a real claim to start in the Community Shield. 6/10

Amad – Perhaps should have scored early on. Looked threatening at times. 6/10

Mason Mount – Assisted Hojlund for the opener and looked lively throughout. Comfortable in that number ten position. 7/10

Marcus Rashford – Quiet as Arsenal took control of the game. Wasn’t really given any chances to run at his opposite number. 5/10

Rasmus Hojlund – Scored a typical striker’s finish to set United on their way, but was injured shortly after. 6/10

Subs:

Hannibal – Replaced Hojlund. Was energetic but that on-ball quality was not there.

Rhys Bennett – Only given about 5-10 minutes due to the Yoro injury.

James Scanlon – Played out of position at right-back. Did well enough given the circumstances.

Jonny Evans – Probably United’s best in the second half. Used all his experience.

Will Fish – Beaten easily for the Martinelli goal. Had a decent half aside from that.

Sam Murray – Defended well enough. Worked hard. Wasn’t allowed to get forward as much as he’d have liked.

Scott McTominay – A typical McTominay performance. Relatively average in every aspect.

Christian Eriksen – Much like his midfield partner. Didn’t really get into the game.

Maxi Oyedele – Did okay against a talented Arsenal side.

Ethan Wheatley – Largely feeding off scraps.

Antony – Didn’t really have a positive impact on proceedings.

Jadon Sancho – Looked sharp.
