Here are our Man United player ratings vs Nottingham Forest, during the 2-1 loss at the City Ground.
Andre Onana – Rooted to the spot for both Nottingham Forest goals. His distribution was average. 5/10
Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Made some good tackles, but was far too casual when tracking back on a few occasions. 4/10
Raphael Varane – Got caught out for the Forest opener as he failed to step up and hold the high line. 4/10
Jonny Evans – Did some good work but also some bad. His lack of pace was sometimes an issue. 4/10
Diogo Dalot – Just not a left-back. Tried to bomb forward where possible, but was often caught out defensively. 4/10
Kobbie Mainoo – Had a steady, but unspectacular first 45 minutes. Subbed off at half-time. I can only assume it was injury related. 5/10
Christian Eriksen – Uncharacteristically poor in possession. Gave it away far too cheaply. Looked a little lightweight. Too easy to bypass. 3/10
Bruno Fernandes – Played some decent balls over the top. Was involved in a couple of somewhat threatening moves. Still relatively quiet by his standards. 4/10
Antony – He’s just not very good, is he? So one-footed it’s ridiculous. Poor in possession. Cannot beat a man. 2/10
Alejandro Garnacho – The only United player with a bit about him. It was his work that led to United’s only goal of the game. Tried to make things happen. 6/10
Marcus Rashford – Scored with a well-placed finish but was pretty quiet aside from that. It’s nice to see him back on the scoresheet. 5/10
Subs:
Scott McTominay – Came on at half-time. Was pretty tragic in truth.
Amad – Nice to see him out there after injury but fairly quiet.
Sergio Reguilon – Not enough time to mark.
